Saskia: This is how we often find you. I love your straight back, upward toes and absolute focus on your books (your favourite at the moment: Mr Tiger Goes Wild, the Angelina Ballerina books and Spot It). (JanMa and Grandfather bought you the sweetest birthday card for your 2nd birthday last year…can you see why they did?)
Félix: You're losing your hair on top. We're wondering if you'll grow it back in a mini afro like your Dada had as a little person. Right now it looks a little funny. Cute. But funny.

Saskia: In the middle of the heatwave, stuck inside under the air con, and with the sticker novelty beginning to wear off…we gave in to your pleas for 'the big one' (your name for Grandfather's iPad and my computer). You watch Peppa Pig, Charlie Bear, Swan Lake by the Kirov Ballet, and the trailer for Babies: The Movie.
Félix: You've been smiling for the last two days and those big old eyes of yours are looking more and more alert. Almost one month old.

Saskia: An early morning feed for Charlie Baby (a present from Baby Félix in hospital). You started sleeping through in your own cot since Félix came home. We didn't talk to you about this or ask you to. You just did. There are still some nights when you call out and Dada brings you in to snuggle up next to me…and I actually feel kind of relieved when you do. Gosh, you are growing up.
Félix: Teeny, floppy limbs in Dada's strong arms.

Saskia: We've entered a sticker obsession phase.
Félix: Another week, another bed to snooze on.
